Acceptable use policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to your use of Simplae and related services. It supplements our Terms of Service. We wrote it in plain language so business owners know what is expected.

Purpose

Simplae helps businesses communicate with customers by text. You must use it legally, respectfully, and in ways that protect customers and carriers.

You may use Simplae to

• Answer customer questions about your business
• Send appointment reminders with proper consent
• Provide support and order updates
• Run opt-in marketing to people who agreed to receive texts

You may not use Simplae to

• Send spam, phishing, or deceptive messages
• Harass, threaten, or discriminate
• Share illegal content or promote unlawful activity
• Impersonate another person or business
• Attempt to bypass SMS opt-out (STOP) handling
• Scrape or misuse third-party data without permission
• Reverse engineer or disrupt the platform

SMS and consent

You are responsible for obtaining proper consent before texting customers. Follow our SMS compliance guidance and applicable laws (including TCPA and CTIA best practices in the United States).

Content you provide

You retain ownership of your knowledge and messages. You grant us permission to process that content to operate the service. Do not upload confidential information you are not authorized to share.

Security

Protect your login credentials. Use strong passwords and limit team access. Report suspected abuse to support promptly.

Changes

We may update this AUP as laws and product features evolve. Material changes will be posted with an updated date.
