SMS Messaging Terms
Here's the exact disclosure a customer sees before texting a Simplae-powered business number:
By texting this number you agree to receive conversational SMS from Simplae on behalf of the business. Message frequency varies. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
Simplae v1 is an AI receptionist and customer-care SMS platform. Customers initiate conversations by texting the business number; Simplae responds on behalf of the business for support, scheduling, confirmations, reminders, and service-related follow-ups. Texting customers is regulated. Following these rules protects your business, your customers, and your phone number reputation.
See the SMS opt-in & consent page for the exact disclosure language and sample messages used in carrier (10DLC) review.

Core principles
- Customer-initiated conversations are the primary v1 SMS flow — customers text your business number first.
- Get consent before texting customers who have not initiated a conversation (for example via web form or verbal consent).
- Honor STOP immediately.
- Identify your business in messages.
- Be truthful about why you are texting.
- Keep records of opt-in and opt-out.
Types of messages on Simplae
Customer-initiated conversations — a customer texts your business number with a question or request; Simplae replies with customer-care assistance on your behalf. The first response includes required disclosure language.
Appointment and service communication — confirmations, scheduling updates, reminders, and support follow-ups related to a customer's request.
Simplae v1 does not support bulk marketing, coupon blasts, newsletter SMS, or promotional broadcasts.
Opt-in examples for customer care
- Customer initiates text (primary v1 flow) — they text your business number with a question or request. Sending the first SMS starts a customer-care conversation and records consent as customer-initiated.
- Web or contact form — checkbox consent on your site before texting appointment updates. See the public consent example.
- Verbal consent — during a phone call or in-person visit, ask permission to text appointment reminders and document when consent was given.
- Appointment booking — booking flow checkbox such as "Text me appointment confirmations and reminders."
Businesses must collect and retain consent before sending SMS. Save how and when consent was collected.
STOP and HELP
Simplae handles standard STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT replies immediately. Do not text opted-out customers unless they opt back in with START.
HELP replies include your business name and a support contact method.
Registration (A2P 10DLC)
United States carriers require business registration for application-to-person texting on local numbers. Complete the checklist in your portal. Unregistered traffic may be filtered or blocked.
See A2P overview for practical steps.
Message frequency
Message volume depends on customer interactions and requested services. Conversational replies are sent when customers text you. Appointment reminders and service updates should match what customers agreed to.
Disclose expected frequency at opt-in: "Message frequency varies based on your interactions and requested services."
Carrier disclaimer
Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to carrier networks and filtering policies.
Privacy
Customer phone numbers and message content are handled according to our Privacy Policy. Do not share customer numbers with unrelated third parties.
Supported use cases
Simplae is designed for legitimate customer-care communication: AI receptionist replies, appointment scheduling, reminders, service updates, and support follow-ups. High-risk or restricted categories may require additional review — contact support before scaling.
